40th ESReDA Seminar on
Risk Analysis and Management Across Industries
25th and 26th May 2011

BEM Management School Bordeaux, France

The growing complexities of equipment and systems, as well as the rapidly increasing cost incurred by loss of operation as a consequence of failures, have brought to the forefront the aspects of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS). The expectation today is that complex equipment and systems are not only free from defects and systematic failures at time when they are put into operation, but also perform the required function failure free for a stated time interval and have a fail-safe behavior in the case of critical or catastrophic failures.
Today, it is well known that all types of industries are concerned by the current economic crisis and its consequences are impacting RAMS issues. Hence it is of outmost importance to apply the best concepts of Risk and reliability engineering along with its management and that it is shared among the industries in order to apply the best practice and applicable methods in the industry.

Topics (include, but are not limited to)
